June 12, 2014 – The Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments (OKI) has selected Lorrie Platt as Director of Communications and Legislative Affairs, effective June 16.  Mark Policinski, CEO of OKI, made the announcement.

“Lorrie will continue to improve upon OKI’s already unparalleled success in reaching out to communities to help solve their problems. She brings not only decades of community and public affairs experience but a proven track record in making our region a better place to live,” Policinski said.

Prior to joining OKI, she served as Community Relations Manager for the Horseshoe Casino in Cincinnati and as the Director of Community Relations for the Cincinnati Reds.  Ms. Platt graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Organizational Communication.

Policinski continued, “The challenges that our region faces are not getting smaller as the world’s technology and economy expands.  We need people like Lorrie in leadership positions to ensure that we are successful in answering those challenges.  I know that the OKI board and partners will enjoy working with such a driven, creative and professional person.”
