Senior Transportation Planner

Ohio – Kentucky – Indiana Regional Council of Governments is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner – Model Applications. This is a professional level position that requires planning knowledge and technical ability to develop and lead projects under minimal supervision. Responsible for assisting with or executing special studies. May oversee the work of other employees and consultants. Essential functions include air quality analysis of transportation projects, processing and analysis of performance-based planning data, management of the agency’s Congestion Management Process, and maintenance of the agency ITS architecture.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Urban Planning / Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field. A combination of extensive experience and a Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted for the Master’s degree requirement. Minimum of three years’ experience in a planning related field with progressively complex assignments requiring sound decision making and judgment. Knowledge and application of federal and state air quality regulations. Strong knowledge of transportation planning techniques, GIS and relational database software such as SQL.

Senior Digital Communications Coordinator

Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments is seeking a Senior Digital Communications Coordinator to synchronize, guide and assist in managing all digital and print communication activities. Duties include the creation and maintenance of OKI websites, graphic design for collateral products, outreach campaigns and social media with the overall emphasis in creating engagement and public participation. High-level of technical ability across all digital platforms is a necessity.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in multimedia or web design, computer programming, graphic design, marketing, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in digital communications with expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API’s. Has excellent working knowledge with SEO, graphic design software, WordPress, audio and publishing software, 3D visualization software, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Excel, statistical analysis tools and other data analytics tools. Must be highly organized and a superior team player.

Board Assistant / Project Administrator

Ohio – Kentucky – Indiana Regional Council of Governments is seeking a Board Assistant /Project Administrator. A support-level position responsible for a variety of administrative functions. Responsible for the day-to-day internal administrative workflow for the Transportation Planning department and assists other departments as needed. Acts as a standby to the Executive Advisor and Board Administrator. Schedules meetings and makes travel arrangements for the Executive Director and Board members; prepares monthly agenda packet and mailing, takes notes and prepares minutes for Board and Budget Committee meetings; prepares script agendas for Board and Budget Committee meetings.

Qualifications: High School diploma; a two-year administrative degree, preferred. Minimum of three to five years experience with general office / secretarial / administrative work including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, constant contact, etc., Vocational School training accepted as part of experience requirement. Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
