2009 Annual Listing of Obligated Projects

The Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for users (SAFETEA-LU) requires that the Metropolitan Planning Organizations prepare an annual listing of projects, including investments in pedestrian walkways and bicycle transportation facilities, for which federal funds have been obligated in the preceding fiscal year. The following report provides information on transportation projects in the OKI region that have been obligated for spending using federal funds during fiscal year 2009—July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. OKI FY 2009 Year End Progress/Performance and Expenditure Report

The OKI FY 2009 Year End Progress/Performance and Expenditure Report highlights the work element activities completed during the fiscal year that are contained in the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP). In addition, budgets for each work element are contained in the report showing fiscal year 2008 carryover funds and fiscal year 2009 funds used during the year. Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments Receives Special Achievement Award for Exceptional Use of GIS Technology

The Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments (OKI) received a Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award at the 2009 ESRI International User Conference (ESRI UC) in San Diego, California. The organization received this honor for its vision, leadership, and innovative use of ESRI's geographic information system (GIS) technology. OKI was selected from more than 300,000 organizations worldwide and recognized during today's SAG awards ceremony for making extraordinary contributions to our global society.
