OKI Regional Bicycle Plan

The Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments (OKI) has prepared an update of the OKI Regional Bicycle Plan, adopted in 1993. To download the full size Adobe Acrobat map to the right, click here (420 K).

The purpose of the Bicycle Plan is to identify problems and recommend actions to improve conditions for bicycling in the seven county transportation planning area that includes Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren Counties in Ohio; Boone, Campbell, and Kenton Counties in Kentucky.

The plan includes recommendations to improve and expand:

  • bicycle facilities on roads and bridges (e.g., bike lanes, wide outside lanes, and paved shoulders)
  • a network of shared use paths (e.g., the Little Miami Scenic Trail, The Great Miami Connection, Shaker Trace, the Millcreek Greenway, the Kentucky River Path and the Ohio River Trail)
  • bicycle parking opportunities
  • bikes on transit programs
