Little Miami River Partnership

OKI has given technical assistance and support to the Little Miami River Partnership in its effort to preserve water quality in the Little Miami River watershed, Ohio’s first designated State Scenic River. The Partnership was established to coordinate and support efforts to maintain and improve the natural integrity of the five sub-watersheds of the Little Miami River. The Partnership has sponsored several public outreach and education events, including watershed planning sessions, strategic planning, and specific watershed projects, including nonpoint source management programs, water quality monitoring, and canoe trips. The Partnership was recently awarded an ODNR Watershed Coordinator Grant in which a full-time watershed coordinator will be hired to oversee the efforts of the Partnership on a daily basis through the next several years and beyond.
