OKI Regional Conservation Council

For nearly 30 years OKI has provided staff support to the OKI Regional Conservation Council (RCC), a collegial coordinating body for the nine soil and water conservation districts of Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties in Ohio; Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in Kentucky; and Dearborn and Ohio counties in Indiana. Through annual meetings, summer tours and other joint ventures, the RCC shares information on a variety of conservation issues and successful management practices. It serves as a friendly forum for conservation professionals and lay people elected to the conservation districts’ boards of supervisors.

The Homeowner’s Conservation Guide, first printed in 1990 and updated for a second edition in 1998, has been one of the RCC’s most popular products. And the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Conservation Council 2000 Directory is useful for contacting people involved with conservation districts and the Natural Resources Conservation Service in the OKI region.
