Administration
OKI’s Administration section is responsible for setting OKI’s core responsibility agenda as well as day to day operations regarding fiscal management and human resources activities. In additionl activities involving the Board of Directors and its members are also coordinated by the Administration Section.
Communications
The Communications and Legislative Affairs Department is responsible for coordinating internal and external communications and governmental activities for OKI. This involves media relations, event planning and working with federal, state, and local elected officials. The department also coordinates OKI’s clean air, RideShare and Title VI and Environmental Justice programs.
Data Services
The Data Services Department is primarily responsible for the development of the OKI Regional Travel Demand Model. The Travel Demand Model is a tool to forecast traffic volume, transit ridership, and vehicle emissions in the future.

 

Land Use & The Environment
OKI is committed to help local governments in the region implement well-defined land use and transportation strategies and enhance and conserve environmental resources. OKI’s collaborative approach results in productive working relationships with the public, private and non-profit sectors.
GIS
OKI’s international-award winning Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Department has played an integral role in the Tri-State region’s transportation, environmental, and land-use planning initiatives since 2002. The GIS department, in cooperation with each of the eight counties of the OKI region, has assembled a base map of data which acts as a framework of regional GIS layers.
