Three years experience in planning related field involving demographic estimates and projections.  Starting salary range is commensurate with experience; beginning range is $50 – $55k. OKI is seeking a qualified, FT professional to fill a GIS Analyst position.  The qualified candidate will complete GIS/mapping projects, generate GIS data, develop spatial databases to support land use planning, transportation planning, economic development and environmental planning.  Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Cartography, GIS or closely related field, plus a minimum of 6 months experience.   Key technical experience should include: ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, Python, relational databases, Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel. Must have strong GIS skills and effective oral, written and interpersonal skills.  The ability to work confidently and independently is essential.  Starting salary range is commensurate with experience; beginning range is $43k – $48k. Traffic Data Collection Internship Available

Job Summary:

A temporary, part-time internship assisting with traffic counting duties. Hours are flexible, although one day at the beginning of the week (Monday or Tuesday) and one at the end of the week (Thursday or Friday) will be required. Intern will assist OKI staff in setting pneumatic traffic counters on area roadways.

Essential Functions:

1) Must be able to handle heavy objects (traffic counters and hoses)

2) Must be able to use a nail gun, hammer, razor blade, and other tools

3) Must be able to see and hear traffic

4) Must be comfortable working in the roadway

5) Must have a valid driver’s license

Job Qualifications:

Civil engineering or urban planning student

Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position.

Length:      May 2017 (ASAP) – November 2017

Hours:        Flexible hours (12 – 20 hours per week)

Pay:            Range of $11 to $13 an hour
